Erin and Erin {11.20.10}

I came across a CD today from Geoff White Photographers with Erin and Erin's wedding pictures. (That's right, their first names are spelled the same!) And I had to share them right away! Much of my posting and blogging as fallen through the cracks with the busy wedding season, but I had to absolutely stop what I was doing to share the wedding of one of my favorite brides.

Erin and Erin were such a delight to work with. Erin (the bride) works with Geoff White Photographers and is the voice behind the thoughtful and charming blog posts. She is truly a woman of many talents! I discovered this as I got to know her and her wedding visions better. She is creative and is a whiz with a glue gun--she hand crafted boutonniere and corsages with ribbon and trinkets for each of her guests, and designed an amazing tablescape for her autumn-vintage glam wedding! But that's not all folks, Erin is also a certified make-up artist! Check out her post here about the fabulous new company, Mirabell Cosmetic Artistry, that she started after having difficulty finding the right make-up artist for her own wedding.

Erin and Erin had a beautiful wedding at the Mountain Terrace. Although it was the rainiest day in November, E&E still had a beautiful indoor ceremony and reception. Erin later told me that a part of her had hoped for a little rain so that she could make use of the oh-so-lovely umbrellas she was able to rent and bring out her galoshes!

Here are some pictures of their wedding, courtesy of Geoff White Photographers.

Featured on Brides.com-Joanne and Uy's Wedding {11.13.10}

I was beyond excited to hear that Joanne and Uy's wedding held at the Bridges Golf Club this past November was featured on Brides.com!! Check out their wedding under the "Real Weddings" section here. The couple had a fairytale wedding complete with a horse drawn carriage! For REAL!

Joanne knew exactly what she wanted and described her wedding visions to me in such detail that I could completely imagine how beautiful their day would be. There was a wind factor that couldn't be avoided, so I couldn't quite get the ceremony to look the way she wanted, but nevertheless they had a beautiful ceremony.

The tables at their reception were made up of long and round tables, which I absolutely loved as I got to put together a few different pieces for them to add to the visual interest of their room.

As we were going over some ideas for cake bases I pitched them the idea of using a large glass cylinder vase as the base with flowers around the inside. I'm so glad they decided to go with it as the cake looked awesome!

Below are some images taken by my associate, Marc, but you can check out the rest of the images taken by their photographer (My Day Wedding) on Brides.com. I will post some more images from their wedding as I receive them, but I just couldn't wait to share these.

Congratulations to Joanne and Uy, on their marriage! And I've since heard from them that they are also expectant parents...YAY Congrats!

Moon and David {3.19.11}

Congratulations Moon and David!

Moon and David planned their wedding in just 4 month! I didn't actually have the pleasure of meeting the sweet couple until they day of their wedding, but when I did meet them, they were just as cute and sweet as I had imagined. Their wedding and reception was held at the ultra cool and modern W Hotel in San Francisco. I just love this hotel and their clean and sleek furniture and decor.

It was a rainy day outside, but as soon as you walk into this hotel you forget about the weather and become captivated by the decor elements.

Auey Santos-{Photograffiti by Auey Santos}, took the most beautiful photos of Moon and David's special day and shared these amazing pictures of their florals. I love how she captured the modern style that Moon and David were trying to go for.

Patty and Lam {11.06.10}

I love it when I get to work with a bride who LOVES flowers! I had the best time working with Patty and designing the flowers for her wedding. She is somewhat of a flower buff and was able to pick out and identify flowers in her bouquet and arrangements that most would have not been able to. On her wedding day, I loved that she took the time to step back and appreciate the flowers and the work that went into her arrangements.

Patty and Lam were married at Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara and had a lovely reception at China Stix. In the months leading up to their wedding, Patty and I met several times. During these meetings, I got to learn that Patty not only loves flowers, but she also adores working with children. She is a total sweetheart!

Patty was kind enough to share some pictures taken by her photographer Jay Nguyen. I love how he captured the all the guys holding the bouquets before they were given as gifts to the girls during the tea ceremony.

Patty loves orchids, so I created a bouquet for her using vanda, mokara and oh-so-lovely hot pink cattleya orchids.

Rachael Myers, of Sweet Tooth Confections created Patty and Lam's fabulous modern and sleek wedding cake. I love the clean lines and details of the cake paired with the soft and delicate phalaenopsis orchids.

Patty and Lam, CONGRATS to you both! Many hugs and much love!

Kari and Marvin {9.25.10}

OK...OK! I know I say this about every wedding and every couple, but this one was one of my favorites of 2010! Kari was such a pleasure to work with and was so easy going every step of the way. During our initial consultation, we discovered that we went to the same highschool and knew some of the same people. We had an instant rapport and her sense of style and personality made me instantly fall in love with her wedding vision.

Kari told me that she wanted to use latte and magenta as her colors so phalaenopsis orchids and magenta hydrangea came to mind. Also she wanted to keep things interesting so we came up with three different styles of centerpieces.

I loved how everything turned out. I am totally gushing at the photos that Quincy from Rock the Image sent me. They are AWESOME!

Check out more of Kari and Marvin's wedding photos on their blog here as well as some fun and crazy pictures of their guests here...what a fun bunch!!

Congrats Kari and Marvin!!

Valerie and David {9.11.10}

One of the most fun couples I've had the pleasure to work with were Valerie and David. I truly had a blast working with them becuase they were open to being unique and creative. They wanted to make their wedding day truly their own. I wish I had more photos to share with you of their urban zen centerpieces and of the chuppah that Valerie's brother helped them build, but for now here are some from Ed Pingol Photography. The photos show what a blast they had on their wedding day!
Congrats Valerie and David!

Darcie and Alex {9.19.10}

A dear friend Karen Pan from New Sunrise Events introduced me to Darcie and Alex. I remember meeting with them for the very first time at a cafe in downtown Campbell. They were the sweetest couple! When we met they didn't know what colors they would be having for their wedding so it made it tougher to talk flowers. As I learned more about them, I discovered that they went to colleges that both had navy and yellow school colors. I thought navy was a great color that wasn't overly used and it went well with a variety of colors, namely oranges and greens. We decided to go with burnt oranges and green which gave the flowers a slightly autumnal look but not too overdone.

Darcie and Alex had an intimate wedding at The Mountain Terrace. Here are some beautiful pictures from their photographer David Gene.

Congrats Darcie and Alex!

Jennier and Marc {9.5.10} Part II

Here are more pictures from Jen and Marc's wedding.

I designed Marc and Jen's invitation and a good friend of ours, Lana, letterpressed them on her very own C&P leterpress. Lana has since started a blog with some of her friends called Covet Collective. Check out their inspiration, finds, and covets here.

I forgot to mention that Jen is a hair and make-up artist. Here she is doing some last minute touch ups before walking down the aisle.

She also made the hair flowers she is wearing! Truly a woman of many talents...did I mention that she can put her legs behind her head!!! hahahah!

Jennifer and Marc {9.5.10)

It seems just like yesterday that my brother, Marc, was married to one of my dearest friends Jen. This post is way overdue, but I am delighted to get to share some of the pictures with you now.

Marc and Jen were married at Dolce Hayes Mansion where they were married in front of 300 guests comprised of friends and family from near and far. As Marc and Jen are the eldest children of their families, and Jen the first of her family to be married, it was really very special for both families.

I've got to say that Jen was honestly the easiest bride I've ever worked with. She only told me that her favorite flowers are carnations and that she didn't really care what other flowers I used. So, I decided to do two types of centerpieces. I went carnation crazy with one type and made a bunch of 15" red carnation balls that sat on top of trumpet vases filled with clear jelly balls.

The other type of centerpieces were of white hydrangea and roses with kiwi branches. Every table was named after a movie or show that Marc and Jen had seen togehter. Jen saved every ticket stub and they were pasted on to the backs of table name cards. We made small kissing balls with live wire coils for every table to hold up the cards.

Their escort cards were bubble bud vases that were also card holders. Carnations were placed in every bud vase.

They had a lovely wedding. But it was a tear jerker! I remember just about crying all night. Good times! Much love to Marc and Jen! Congrats!
