Marcela + Dan {05.08.10}

"Sweet" is a great word to describe Marcela and Dan, not to mention their wedding as well! I met Marcela and Dan last year when they were in the early stages of planning, but right away I knew that their wedding would be sweet and lovely, just like the both of them.

Marcela really had a vision from the very beginning as to the colors and floral look she was trying to go for--soft, lush and sweet looking. The soft pinks and greens from the flowers really went well with their dessert themed wedding. Their guest tables were named after different desserts and they also had a DELICIOUS looking mini dessert table from Sweet Tooth Confections and an oh so lovely cake from Edith Meyer Wedding Cakes.

It was the most beautiful day for a wedding at the Martinelli Event Center in Livermore and I wish I had a picture of Marcela to post, because just like the day she was absolutely gorgeous. Tuan and I were hanging the pink peonies from the trellis and got to witness Marcela and Dan's "First Look". I couldn't help but tear up while watching because as soon as Dan turned around to see Marcela for the first time on their wedding day, they looked even more in love then they did when I first met them. They are perfect together in every way!

Congrats Marcela and Dan!!

Here are some pictures taken by my hubby Tuan.

EJ and Charlie {3.21.10}

E.J. and Charlie were married at Freedom Hall and Gardens on March 21st. When E.J. and I fist spoke at our initial consultation she told me how much she loved pomander balls and wanted them to double as both the chair decorations for the ceremony and as the centerpieces at the reception. We made pomander balls of pink and orange carntations which really livened up the ceremony area. Their colors were orange, pink and pool. I loved the color combination--it was fun and vibrant, just like the happy couple.

E.J. told me that she wanted to incorporate some shell accents into the bouquets,--symbolic of her background as a marine biologist. I just love how fun they look.

Here are some of the pictures that I took of the bouquets on top of the yellow vintage Ford truck that belongs to Freedom Hall and of the ceremony area.
