She's here! Annalee Joy Dang was born on February 6th at 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 19.5 inches. After a 13 hour labor, two weeks of recuperating and adjusting to having a new baby, I am finally getting around to posting some pictures of our new little one. Here they are...

Update...

I've been MIA from my blog for a while. Actually I've been on hiatus while obsessing over learning about the ins and outs of pregnancy while nurturing my impending bundle of joy. I am coming up on 39 weeks now and am expecting to give birth just about any day. Along with my new love for baby things, I am excited about this year's line up exciting couples and their upcoming weddings.

This year's wedding season for TJD will begin in early May (enough time to give me some baby bonding time) with weddings at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Saratoga Country Club, and Lafayette Park Hotel, just to name a few. I can't wait to share pictures!

I am really excited to be working with Monica on her "vintage romance" wedding at the Montery Plaza Hotel. She has a great eye for design and some wonderful ideas. Check out her awesome blog Eat, Drink & Be Married.

Wedding MBA and Twitter

A couple of weeks ago my mom and I had the pleasure to attended the Wedding MBA Conference in Phoenix. There were a lot of really knowledgeable and experienced speakers from various areas of the wedding industry. I learned so much about how to market to the modern bride that it was a bit of information overload.

One of my favorite speakers was Alan Berg (VP of Local Strategic Solutions) from the knot. After Alan's talks I was compelled to become apart of the knot's vendor community. Look out for my vendor profile which will be launched on 10/22.

I also took a lot of information away from Timothy Chi and Sonny Ganguly's talk on how to reach today's wired bride. Timothy and Sonny are the CEO and CMO of Wedding Wire, an awesome new resource for brides and vendors. Timothy and Sonny shared lots of different social networking sites to reach the "wired bride". My favorite so far is Twitter. Twitter is another way that friends and colleagues can follow you by answering the simple question "what are you doing" in 140 words or less. I am still learning how to use it but you can check out my twitter here.

August Weddings II

Yesterday was Heather and Jay's wedding at Holbrook Palmer Park. It was a beautiful late afternoon wedding. The day started off really warm, but cooled down in the later afternoon. Here are some pictures of Heather's bouquet and the arbor under which she was married. I didn't get any great shots of the multi colored gerbera daisy center pieces which just brightened up the reception. If I get some from the photographer, I'll be sure to post them.

Orange Unique

I helped my mom out over the weekend with flowers for her catering. Here is a picture of the centerpice and one of the centerpiece for the buffet table. I used orange dahlias, pink orlando roses, hypericum, berries, feverfew and lemon leaf.

The color motif for this truly unique wedding was neon orange! So, we chose flowers that could stand up against the boldness of the orange.
